Apricot-Cranberry Dip

Preparation time: 5 minutes Cook time: 20 minutes
Yield: 16 servings (2 tablespoons each)

Ingredients:
6 ounces fresh cranberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup apricot jam
1/2 cup chopped pecans
8 ounces cream cheese


Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the cranberries with the sugar in a 2-quart
baking dish that has a lid. Stir the berries well to
distribute the sugar over all of them. Bake for 20
minutes or until the cranberries pop and liquid forms.
3. Remove the dish from the oven; stir in the apricot jam
and pecans. Chill in the refrigerator until completely
cooled.
4. Bring the cream cheese to room temperature; spread
into a serving dish. Pour the cranberry mixture over
the top and sprinkle with chopped pecans or other
nuts.
5. Serve with crackers or pretzels.
